Unable to delete multiple draft amendments if at least one has no DNum

Issue Description

The ability to delete draft amendments was added in version 20.0 of Lawmaker. See Deleting, viewing and restoring deleted amendments for detail.

Sometimes, when users have created a LoDA in a UK or Scottish Bill project, and removed the first empty ‘placeholder’ amendment in the LoDA before saving, then this blank amendment still appears in the Amendment Manager without a DNum.

If you select multiple amendments, of which at least one is an amendment without a Dnum, then attempt to delete amendments (Amendment Actions > Delete Amendments), you will become stuck on a loading screen indefinitely, as the Confirm amendment deletion window will fail to appear (see screenshot below).

To escape this, you will have to refresh or exit the page.

The loading screen you will see if you attempt a multi-delete action on a selection including an amendment with no DNum

Workaround

If you wish to delete multiple amendments, you can do so, but:

  • Do not include any amendments without Dnums in the selection;

  • Delete any amendments without DNums one-by-one.
