Deleting, viewing and restoring deleted amendments
Introduction
You can delete ‘Draft' or ‘On hold' amendments which will remove their from the 'All Amendments’ view on the Amendment Manager and can be a useful way of managing amendments if you have lots of draft amendments that didn’t go anywhere or were created in error.
How to delete amendments
From the Amendment Manager tab, select the draft or ‘on hold’ amendments you want to delete
Select Amendment Actions > Delete amendments
Check the amendments that will be deleted in the confirmation message
Click on Delete
Deleted amendments will disappear from the list on the Amendment Manager as the default view is to hide all deleted amendments.
You can find deleted amendments again by selecting Quick Filter: Deleted amendments.
Amendments are not irreversibly deleted - it is only a status which can be removed using the ‘Restore deleted amendments’ option.
How to view deleted amendments
From the Amendment Manager tab, select Quick Filter: Deleted amendments
The filters will not work on the ‘Deleted amendment’ quick view. If you select the filters, the quick filter will default back to ‘All Amendments’
The only actions that can be performed on deleted amendments are
Restoring them back to their previous state,
Previewing and recording comments against them,
Sorting the list of deleted amendments, and
Adding flags to the amendment in the list
How to restore deleted amendments
From the Amendment Manager tab, select Quick Filter: Deleted amendments
Find and select the deleted amendment(s) you wish to restore to their previous state
Select Amendment Actions > Restore deleted amendments
Check the amendments that will be restored in the confirmation message
Click on Restore
Restoring amendments removes the ‘deleted’ status which will restore them back to their previous status before they were deleted. This could be either “draft” or “on hold”
