Managing document information
Some data appearing in the document can only be updated from the right-hand ‘Document information’ panel, accessible from within the Editor. This includes information such as the title and document numbers.
How to update document information
Access the Document Information panel either by:
Clicking on the Document Information tab in the right-hand panel (see screenshot below)
Clicking on a relevant, blue-highlighted element in the Editor (e.g., the Title, version rubric, SI number) - this will redirect you to the Document Information panel
Make changes to any of the fields and wait for a few seconds.
The system will update the fields in the document with the changes.
Ensure you then Save these changes, as you would Save other changes to your document. This will also allow the updated information to show on the Project Tab (e.g., Title, Bill sub-type, SI procedure).
For Bills (but not SIs/SSIs/NISRs), you can also update Document Information from the Project Tab. See: Updating document information from project tab
Some elements in an SI’s Preface are not editable through the Document Information tab, but rather through windows that pop up when you click on those elements in the Editor.
