Inserting page breaks

Sometimes you need to override the automatic pagination rules applied when generating a PDF to keep certain elements or groups of elements together on a page.  Examples include tables or groups of amendments. 

You can do this by inserting a page break marker in the document which will cause the content of the document after the marker to appear at the start of a new page.

How to insert a page break

  1. Place the cursor in the text or object where you want the page break to appear after.

  2. Right-click and select Insert page break.

The page break will be inserted at the end of text or object.

It is not possible to insert a page break within a table, image or formula.

How to remove a page break

  1. Place the cursor in the page break you want to remove.

  2. Click on Page Break in the breadcrumb:

  3. Press Backspace to remove it.

Adding page breaks in Scottish Scripted Lists

In Scottish Bill projects, page breaks can be added between amendments in a Scripted Marshalled List using the CCA:
