[Scotland] How do I delete or restore an amendment?
There may be times when you wish to delete an amendment. Note that an amendment cannot be completely removed from Lawmaker, however its status can be changed to “Deleted” and it can still exist within Lawmaker (so the PCO number will still exist).
Key points to note:
A deleted amendment appears in a different section of the Amendment Manager tab.
You cannot edit a deleted amendment in the Editor.
You can restore a deleted amendment.
You can accidentally lodge a deleted amendment if you include it in your PDF that is lodged by email to the Parliament. You must ensure your PDF does not include any deleted amendments.
A deleted amendment will still appear in any lists of amendments that it is in. You will need to manually delete it from those lists.
A deleted amendment cannot be submitted (Lawmaker does not allow you to pick this option) but it can be published in a list of amendments that it is in before you deleted it. You must delete it from the Amendment Manager and from any lists of amendments.
To delete an amendment:
In the Amendment Manager tab, select the amendment/s to be deleted.
Click on Amendment Actions > Delete amendments.
Lawmaker will check to make sure the amendment is in Draft or On Hold status and that there are no locks on it. A box will pop up and ask you to confirm deletion. Click Delete.
The amendment/s will disappear from the default view of your Amendment Manager.
To view a deleted amendment:
In the Amendment Manager, at the top right section where the Quick Filter options are, select Deleted amendments.
To restore a deleted amendment:
Select the deleted amendment/s that you wish to restore and click on Amendment Actions > Restore deleted amendments.
Lawmaker will perform checks and ask you to confirm restoration. Click Restore.
