Exporting an English or Welsh rendition for translation
It is possible to export a specific language rendition of a Welsh SI or Senedd Bill from Lawmaker, for use with external translation software. The translated version can then be re-imported to Lawmaker: see Managing Welsh and English renditions.
Exporting an English or Welsh rendition for translation
To export a specific language rendition for translation, open the ‘Actions’ menu next to a version on the Project tab and choose ‘Export for translation’:

If the selected version contains only one language rendition, then an XML file will be immediately downloaded to your computer. This XML file can then be imported into external translation software.
Note that you may see a warning message suggesting the file could be harmful; this warning can be safely ignored. Select ‘Keep’ to download the file.

If the selected working version or snapshot contains both an English and Welsh rendition already, you will be prompted to choose the language rendition you want to export:

Select the desired language from the drop-down and click ‘Export’ to download the XML of that rendition.
The downloaded XML file can be used with external translation software to produce a rendition in the other language.
After translation, the new rendition can be imported back into Lawmaker and associated with the original language rendition. See Managing Welsh and English renditions.
